STRIDE’s Riders with Disabilities Horsemanship Program is built on the trusted standards of the Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA) — an industry leader in equine education and instructor certification. Our CHA-certified instructors are dedicated to the CHA mission: “Changing Lives Through Safe Experiences with Horses.”
Safety is always our top priority. Within that foundation, riders are encouraged to grow as independent thinkers, develop problem-solving skills, and cultivate empathy and understanding for their equine partners.
The Riders with Disabilities Horsemanship Program is available to participants ages 6 and up. Some of the disabilities that will be served will be Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Anxiety, Depression and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. It is important to note that the program is not be limited to serving only these disorders.
